February theme: God’s Hunger for Us
In celebration of the 40th anniversary of our diocese, Bp. Francis Kalabat has officially designated 2022 as the Year of the Eucharist! During the pandemic, many have lived without Mass for so long and may have become discouraged or accustomed to life without the Eucharist. As Christians we know that we need Christ to be present in our lives.
Throughout the year, each parish in our diocese will host an hour of Eucharistic adoration with a different theme designated each month to pray and meditate on. Bishop Francis will be present at a different holy hour each month to offer a short reflection. We invite our entire community to join us in re-strengthening our faith in the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist!
*Due to the snow storm in Michigan, Bishop Francis has asked that parishes move their adoration time for this month from Thursday to Friday, February 4 from 6-7 pm (each parish may differ, please confirm exact time with your parish). Bishop was expected to visit Holy Martyrs to preach this week, but will preach instead at Mother of God this Friday evening. He will now be preaching at Holy Martyrs on April 7.
