Home School

We are excited to announce the Chaldean Catholic Homeschool program.  We have seen a demand from our community to support families to begin educating their children in the home.  We have the full support of Bishop Francis Kalabat and the Eparchy of St. Thomas and we are excited to roll out this initiative in the Fall of 2023.

What is a Co-op Homeschool Program?

    • A co-operative (co-op) is a parent-led learning environment.

    • The environment helps to teach core classes as well as providing socialization.

    • Parents attend with their children and teach and learn alongside other homeschooling families.

    • Parents remain with their child during the homeschool co-op.

What is a Hybrid Homeschool Program?

    • A model where children split their time between a traditional school-setting and homeschool.

    • Children are dropped off and taught in a classroom setting by paid teachers (may include parents).

    • Parents are responsible for the additional education of their children on the days between the in-person learning days.

Here is a website that further describes the difference between a co-op and a hybrid homeschoo program – https://hslda.org/post/what-are-homeschool-learning-groups
