BISHOP’S LETTER ON VOTING

As election day approaches, let us be mindful of our solemn responsibility to vote. To aid in this mission, Bishop Francis Kalabat has released a pastoral letter to instruct the faithful on Catholic principles and values to consider when voting for a candidate.

ELECTION ACTIVITY

Many pastors and church leaders worry about legal repercussions of speaking out on issues that frequently involve politics, like abortion. While churches may not participate in a candidate’s campaign, churches can do quite a few things that broadly involve election and legislative issues.
