On Monday, January 19, Most Rev. Francis Y. Kalabat, Bishop of our diocese, celebrated the annual St. Anne Novena Mass at the Basilica of Ste. Anne in Detroit. Every year, the basilica celebrates a ten-day Novena event, with each day of prayer associated with a different ethnic group important to Detroit. Night three of the novena welcomed our Chaldean community.
Following Mass, the novena to St. Anne was prayed while a statue of St. Anne was processed around the church. Msgr. Charles Kosanke, Rector of the basilica, presented Bishop Francis with a gift of a hand made rosary from Italy. Thank you to Ste. Anne de Detroit for welcoming our community to the beautiful basilica!
