Regarding the funeral service for Jimmy Aldaoud
Issued September 5, 2019

Southfield, MI — The funeral service for Jimmy Aldaoud, a Michigan Chaldean man who was deported to Iraq in June and died on August 6 of a diabetic crisis, will take place at 10:00 am on Friday, September 6, at Mother of God Cathedral—25585 Berg Road, Southfield, MI 49033.

Due to the dignity attached to the occasion and at the respect of the family and parish community, the funeral will be closed to media. Please note that no recording devices—video, audio, or still photography—will be allowed inside the church for the funeral service. We ask that no media interviews take place on parish property before, during, or after the funeral. The church parking lot will be reserved for attendees and will not be open to media vehicles unless express written permission is given by St. Thomas Chaldean Eparchy.

Thank you in advance for your attention to this request and for your sensitivity to the family’s personal space during this difficult time.
