Every year, a group from our diocese heads down to Washington D.C. to attend the annual March for Life, and this year was no different! The trip was led by His Excellency, Bishop Francis Kalabat, Fr. Rodney Abasso, Fr. Perrin Atisha, Fr. John Jaddou, and Fr. Marcus Shammami, along with a handful of faithful from our diocese. Along with many others, the group peacefully prayed and protested for the lives of the unborn children and also celebrated that we now live in a Post-Roe America.
On Thursday, January 19, Bishop Francis celebrated Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. On Friday, January 20, Mass was celebrated at St. Dominic Catholic Church before the group joined thousands for the March. On Saturday, January 21, His Excellency, along with Fr. Rodney Abasso and Fr. Perrin Atisha, celebrated one final mass in the crypt chapel at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.
We ask Mother Mary to intercede on behalf of all the unborn children; let us continue to pray for an end to abortion everywhere!
