Bishop Francis Kalabat announces the following appointments effective August 1, 2021:

Pastors

  • Fr. Manuel Boji will enter retirement. Father Boji currently serves as Pastor of Holy Martyrs Parish in Sterling Heights.
  • Fr. Fadi Philip appointed Pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in Warren, Michigan. Father Philip currently serves as Pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Warren.
  • Fr. Sameem Balius appointed Pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Troy. Father Balius currently serves as Pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in Warren.
  • Fr. Rudy Zoma appointed Pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Warren. Father Zoma currently serves as Pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Troy.
  • Fr. Selwan Taponi appointed Pastor of Holy Martyrs Parish in Sterling Heights. Father Taponi currently serves as Administrator of St. Paul Parish in Grand Blanc.
  • Fr. Muhannad Al Tawil, a Chaldean Dominican priest from France, will serve our diocese for three years and is assigned as Pastor of St. Paul Parish in Grand Blanc. His assignment will begin September 1, 2021.
  • Fr. Pierre Konja appointed Pastor of St. Thomas Parish in West Bloomfield. Father Konja currently serves as Associate Pastor of Holy Cross Parish in Farmington Hills.

Administrators

  • Fr. Patrick Setto extension of one year at Mother of God Parish in Southfield and will be appointed as Administrator. He currently serves as the Associate Pastor.

Associate Pastors

  • Fr. Matthew Zetouna extension of one year as Associate Pastor at Mart Mariam Parish in Northbrook, Illinois.
  • Fr. Andrew Seba appointed Associate Pastor at Holy Cross Parish in Farmington Hills. Father Seba currently serves as Associate Pastor of Holy Martyrs Parish in Sterling Heights. He will also be ministering periodically in Jacksonville, Florida.
  • Fr. John Jaddou extension of one year as Associate Pastor at St. Joseph Parish in Troy.

Special Assignments

  • Fr. Sanharib Youkhana extension of liturgical responsibilities at Mother of God Parish in Southfield and will be appointed as the Director of Hospital and Nursing Home Ministries.
  • Dcn. Sermed Ashkouri will continue to serve the Chaldean Mission in Wayland, Massachusetts.
