On Tuesday, March 30, our diocese celebrated the annual Chrism Mass. This Mass is one of the most important liturgies of the year, as holy oils that will be used for sacraments throughout the year are blessed by Bishop Francis and given to each priest to take back to their parish. Chrism Mass is usually the largest gathering of clergy in the diocese.
Gracious and loving God, we thank You for the gift of our priests.
Through them, we experience your presence in the sacraments.
Help our priests to be strong in their vocation.
Set their souls on fire with love for your people.
Grant them the wisdom, understanding, and strength they need to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.
