Our diocese is excited to present a new program called Chaldean Youth Mentoring (CYM). This program was designed to aid our students in their education during these unprecedented times of virtual learning. CYM will provide tutors and mentors to assist our students with schoolwork while also providing a space for our children to grow in their social and virtuous growth.
CYM will be held in person starting on October 12 on every Monday through Thursday from 4pm-8pm. One-on-one tutoring is available for students in 3rd-12th grade, while open study is open for students in 6th– 12th grade. Given COVID restrictions, one-on-one tutoring and open study will require sign-ups in order to maintain social distancing.
All of the information for this program will be explained at our parent information meetings on Friday, October 9 at 6pm and Saturday, October 10 at 1pm. Crucial information relating to tutoring and COVID precautions will be given, so it is necessary that parents attend one of the two meetings.
If you or someone you know feels called to serve in this program, we will be holding volunteer meetings on Friday, October 2 at 6pm and Saturday, October 3 at 12pm. All volunteers who signed up and anyone who is considering volunteering is encouraged to attend one of the two meetings.
Meetings and tutoring will currently take place at Holy Martyrs Chaldean Catholic Church.
We look forward to supporting our children in their academic, social, and virtuous growth!
Stay healthy and holy,
Chaldean Youth Mentoring
