Update on the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals Ruling

On Tuesday, April 2, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a ruling to stop the deportations and grant bond hearings to the Iraqi nationals swept up in the ICE raids across the country. This recent ruling makes some Iraqi nationals who were previously protected by the court order now vulnerable to deportation as of April 9, 2019.

Update – Abuse Allegations

Sub-deacon Hurmiz Ishak (Najeeb) was able to fulfill his bond requirements on December 12, 2018 and therefore was allowed to be at home while the case is investigated by civil authorities.
