This past week the Prime Minister of Iraq welcomed our Patriarch, His Beatitude Mar Louis Raphael Sako, on his return to Baghdad. In welcoming the Patriarch, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of his presence and role in Baghdad and Iraq.
This is welcome and joyful news for the Chaldean Catholic Church and in thanksgiving for the return of the Patriarch to Baghdad after several months of issues, this weekend’s Masses will be offered for the Church, Her shepherds, as well as the country of Iraq.
