Lenten Hiking Trip

Prepare your heart for the resurrection of Jesus Christ this Lent with an opportunity to pray in God’s backyard.
The plan is to leave early on Saturday morning at 8am (carpooling strongly encouraged) for a 2 1/2 hour drive to a small western Michigan town called Saugatuck. There we will celebrate Mass before heading to the Saugatuck State Park for a hike along Lake Michigan. This hike will require you to be able to hike uneven terrains for at least 3-5 miles. Be sure to bring good shoes to hike in and a jacket, as it might get windy by Lake Michigan. The hike should wrap up around 4pm, with plenty of free time afterwards to go to one of the many restaurants in nearby city of Holland, Michigan before returning home.
*There will not be a communal dinner this year, but dinner will be up to you and the group you are traveling with.
Ages: 18 and above
Please have Telegram downloaded on your phone, as this will be our main method of communication. Watch for the invite link sent via email or text.
While there is no cost to the trip, keep in mind that it might be good to split the gas cost of the person who you will be carpooling with and to possibly make a freewill offering to the church where we will be celebrating Mass.
