Advent Hiking Trip

Prepare your heart for Jesus Christ this Advent/Subara season with an opportunity to pray and hike in God’s creation. 

We will begin the day by celebrating Mass at 8am at 2 locations: St. Thomas in West Bloomfield and St. George in Shelby Township.

Afterwards, we will head out to Pontiac Lake Recreation Area in Waterford (about a 30 min drive from St. Thomas and a 35 min drive from St. George) and hopefully begin the hike around or a little after 9am. 

The hike will require you to walk on uneven terrains for at least 3-4 miles. Be sure to bring shoes with good traction and to dress warm, as well as a rosary for prayer. The hike should wrap up around noon. 

Ages: 18 and above

8am – Mass at St. Thomas and St. George
9am – Hike begins at Pontiac Lake Recreation Area (2401 N Williams Lake Rd, Waterford Twp, MI 48327)
12pm – Hike Ends
